Why I Like This Product
One of the things I appreciate most about chia seeds is their simplicity. They're easy to feed, highly palatable, and provide an excellent source of plant-based Omega-3 fatty acids without the storage concerns associated with many oils.
I also like that chia offers more than just Omega-3s. Its combination of fiber, protein, minerals, and natural antioxidants makes it a versatile addition to many feeding programs. For horses needing extra nutritional support, it's one of my favorite ways to add healthy fats while also supporting digestive health, hydration, and a beautiful coat.

FAQ
Transparency
With the changing hemp laws across the country, we are committed to having our labels and website current with the status of hemp in different states.
We publish the actual content of the various cannabinoids contained in each product. Many companies just give you an amount to feed, but you do not know the actual concentration of CBD or if there are other compounds such as terpenes present.
Quality
Our hemp meal is grown using certified organic methods on small farms in Vermont. Hemp is a bioaccumulator, which means it will extract toxins from the soil if they are present. So, the soil needs to be clean and free from chemical fertilizers, heavy metals and pesticides. Our supplier uses organic and GMP practices in all stages of manufacture assuring a quality end product.
Extraction of the oils must be done without heat or toxic solvents. Our hemp is extracted using CO2, leaving no trace of anything toxic.
We use third party testing to assure that there are no contaminants, heavy metals, or anything other than pure, natural hemp with all of the CBD’s, Terpenes, and other ingredients intact. Pharmaceutical grade technology is used to assure consistent product quality, so you know you are getting exactly what the label says.
Full Spectrum versus Isolates
Our pertner uses specially bred hemp that is rich in phytocannabinoids and terpenes that work together synergistically to provide the maximum benefit. In hemp, the action of all the compounds is greater than that of one compound. Hemp naturally can contain many terpenes and types of cannabinoids. These are preserved with the extraction methods used. Isolates of just CBD alone without the synergistic effects of the rest of the plant may have uses, but at the present time they are less well-defined.
Why Doc’s Hemp
We have complete transparency, we use only organically grown hemp bred for its high phytocannabinoid content. We use human grade ingredients in all products, all-natural compounds, recyclable packaging. We partner with only the best companies in the hemp business.
Are there problems with toxic compounds?
Not with the suppliers we use. Everything is tested multiple times. We never use industrial hemp grown for its fiber and seeds, just hemp developed specifically for its CBD rich compounds.
Is our (or any) CBD rich product legal to use in equine competition?
No. USEF and the FEI both prohibit the use of CBD in competition. Please stop feeding it 7 days before competition. Some of the long term effects may still be present.
Can I contact the company if I have concerns about what product is correct for my animal. Absolutely. Give us a call or email us, we are here to help you sort out any questions about hemp.
